Board-certified bariatric surgeon with over two decades of hands-on surgical experience including more than 15 years of high-volume bariatric surgery centers across Southern California. Have performed thousands of weight loss procedures with a primary focus on gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, duodenal switch, one anastomosis gastric bypass, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, and intragastric balloon placement. Since 2008 95% of my surgical practice has been dedicated to the care of bariatric patients. I currently hold bariatric surgery privileges at four hospitals in Southern California and serve as Medical Director of Mount Sinai Surgery Center in Tarzana, a leadership role I have held since 2010. My breath of clinical experience, attention to perioperative detail, and commitment to surgical safety make me uniquely qualified to review and analyze adverse outcomes in bariatric surgery. I am actively expanding my work as a medical-legal consultant, offering expert reviews, chart audits and opinions on standard of care in bariatric surgical cases.
