Accident Reconstructionist in Training (320+ hours) - courses include: At-Scene Traffic Crash/Traffic Homicide Investigation, Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation, Traffic Crash Reconstruction, Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) Data Tool Analyst, Motorcycle Crashes - Level II, Commercial Motor Vehicle Crash Investigation - Level I (IP). Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, where I was an Advancing Sciences in America (ARCS) Scholar and Dwight D. Eisenhower Transportation Fellow (FHWA). During my Ph.D., I worked in a full-scale driving simulator and studied driver behavior (visual attention, stress levels, speed) around their interactions with bicyclists at intersections, user perceptions of bike turnouts, and human interactions with fully autonomous vehicles. I have conducted research for the NCHRP, NHTSA, and Oregon DOT. Subsequently, I have extensive experience with technical correspondence and creating and delivering presentations to panels and technical advisory committees at these agencies. I also designed and taught multiple courses at the National Summer Transportation Institute, awarded by FHWA and hosted at OSU. These presentations and hands-on activities were delivered to high schoolers. Throughout my M.S., I worked in the Center for Sustainable Mobility, where I conducted research on ridesharing (ex. Uber, Lyft) trips and the extent to which they replaced bus transit trips within the City of Chicago.
