I am a board-certified emergency medicine physician through the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) with a strong clinical background that began as a registered nurse prior to medical school. My experience spans over a decade in acute care, including trauma and community emergency settings, and I bring a balanced perspective to case review—grounded in both frontline experience and evidence-based standards. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Associate Degree in Nursing from Louisiana Tech University. I began my healthcare career as a registered nurse, which provided me with foundational insight into patient care and hospital operations from both the bedside and systems-level perspective. I later attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where I also completed my internship and residency in Emergency Medicine. Following training, I began practice at a Level II trauma center, managing high-acuity patients across a full range of emergency conditions. I currently work full-time in a busy community emergency department, where I care for pediatric and adult patients and participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives. My certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS. I am committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and consistently emphasize appropriate decision-making, accurate documentation, and adherence to current clinical guidelines. As an expert witness, I provide objective, evidence-based analysis with clarity and professionalism. My dual training as both a nurse and physician allows me to bring a comprehensive and pragmatic approach to medical-legal case review.
