Dr. Pinkhasov has a strong interest and a robust clinical experience in many aspects of urology, particularly urologic cancers of the kidney, prostate, ureter, bladder, testis, robotic and minimally invasive surgeries, reconstructive surgery, enlarged prostate and voiding dysfunction, kidney stone disease, urinary tract infections and prostatitis, ureteral and bladder injuries, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone and vasectomy. Dr. Pinkhasov is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and is an active member of the American Urologic Association, American College of Surgeons, Chicago Urological Society and Society of Urologic Oncology. In addition to taking care of patients, Dr. Pinkhasov enjoys teaching and serves as a clinical preceptor for the Allied Practice Provider program at Valparaiso University as well as an adjunct clinical Professor of Urology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is an immediate past Chair of the Department of Surgery and Surgeon Champion of the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) of the American Society of Surgeons for Northwest Health Porter. Dr. Pinkhasov attended City University of New York – Hunter College for his undergraduate studies, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. He graduated with the highest distinction of summa cum laude and was selected as a member to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York – Downstate Medical Center, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his general surgery and urology residency at the Milton S Hershey – Pennsylvania State Medical Center. Dr. Pinkhasov subsequently completed a clinical fellowship in urologic oncology and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Minnesota.
