Physician Assistant Michael Henderson earned his NCCHC certification in 2007 and began his career in orthopedics before transitioning to family medicine to focus on preventative care. With over 12 years of experience in family medicine and urgent care, he has built a strong foundation for delivering comprehensive healthcare within correctional settings. Currently, PA Henderson provides medical care to a jail population of over 3,500 inmates, often serving as the sole provider on duty during weekends. He is certified as a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) through the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and has presented at NCCHC national conferences. Beyond clinical practice, PA Henderson is committed to the education of future healthcare professionals. He has served as a preceptor for physician assistant and Nurse practitioner students from the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Arlington.
