Dr. Steven White is a forensic pathologist and cardiovascular pathologist with more than 15 years of experience. He is board-certified in Forensic Pathology and Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He has personally performed approximately 6000 forensic and hospital autopsies. He also has additional experience in perinatal pathology, examining placentas and performing fetal autopsies. He actively practices forensic pathology in a busy, urban office (Ontario Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto). In Chicago, Dr. White served as an Assistant Medical Examiner at one of the busiest ME offices in the U.S., gaining experience in complex death investigation and teaching numerous trainees. Dr. White is uniquely qualified as a cardiovascular pathologist, examining hearts from autopsies (sudden death and complications of heart disease), as well as surgical specimens from hospital patients. He currently practices cardiovascular and hospital autopsy pathology at Toronto General Hospital, a busy academic medical center and serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto (lmp.utoronto.ca/faculty/steven-white). In addition to his regular work, Dr. White has been serving as a private consultant and expert witness for over 10 years and has testified in approximately 60 trials and 40 depositions in the U.S. and Canada. He is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada, maintains active medical licenses in both countries, and is available for expert witness work in both countries. Dr. White is an engaging witness, who enjoys explaining complex medical and scientific concepts to juries, judges, and attorneys.
