Double-boarded in Pediatrics and Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics. Former Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine for over 10 years and worked at The Meyer Center for Developmental Pediatrics and Autism at Texas Children’s Hospital during that time. Practiced at The Child Study Center in Fort Worth, Texas prior to joining The Meyer Center. Additionally, provided medical consultation for students at the Jane Justin School and adjoining Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program in Fort Worth. Completed Fellowship in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and stayed on for two more years as faculty before moving to Fort Worth. During that time, participated in multidisciplinary patient assessments, multispecialty clinics, and served as the Director of TrYAD—Transition Clinic for Young Adults with Disabilities. Played an active role throughout academic career in educating pediatric residents and Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics fellows, including developing curricula. Previous to fellowship, completed pediatric residency and internship training at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine (2002–2005). Earned Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 2002; alumna of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas (Magna Cum Laude, 1998). As an active member of the Society for Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics (SDBP), hosted workshops for the Society’s annual meetings. Current Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Former Co-Chair of the Committee for Children with Disabilities of the Texas chapter of the AAP (Texas Pediatric Society) for 6 years, which has provided experience advocating for children with disabilities at a state-level. Recognized by the KNOW Autism Foundation with its Frontline Hero Award (April 2021). Featured on Town Square with Ernie Manouse, as well as The Jessica Hatch Show (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcUCrbSviYs) during tenure as Medical Director for a Houston-based ABA clinic. Hosted lectures at the local, state, and national levels for specialty and sub-specialty medical groups as well as community organizations.
