Mr. Zwick is an experienced licensed Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor in Ohio regarding expert testimony, reports and consultation. He holds the degrees of Master of Science cum laude, and Bachelor of Science, from Case Western Reserve University in Systems Engineering, and in Civil Engineering, respectively. He now serves as the Chief Deputy Engineer of the Office of the Lorain County Engineer. He has also served as an expert witness for claims involving storm water management, underground infrastructure, site development, construction of pavements, land surveying and highway accidents. Mr. Zwick has practiced engineering and land surveying in both the public and private sectors throughout Ohio, and his experience has served the: construction industry, various levels of government, libraries, museums, schools and universities, insurance companies, architects, and other professionals including the legal community. He has programmed, engineered and supervised the construction of projects for various municipalities and local governments, and at N.A.S.A., Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Kent State University, Tri-C Corporate College and U.S. Steel, including public and private infrastructure projects such as roads, culverts, bridges, drainage, sewer, water lines, pump stations, and site improvements; as well as for industrial, commercial and residential site developments. He has published technical articles, taught professional seminars and technical courses, and contributed to drafting new construction codes and legislation. Moreover, attorneys seek out Mr. Zwick to serve as an expert legal witness in his fields because of his reputation for credibility, excellent communication skills, professionalism and high ethical standards. A former President of the Cleveland Society of Professional Engineers (local chapter of the NSPE), Mr. Zwick volunteered for many years as its Master of Ceremonies for the annual MathCounts junior high school mathematics competition. He has also served as President of the Cleveland Chapter of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio (PLSO). He received their 2013 Surveyor of the Year award; and has contributed to state-level professional development on-line publications. He represented his engineering firm to the local chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), and he had been active in its college scholarship program. He has been a member of the Municipal Engineers Association of Northeast Ohio (MEANO), and he had served on its various committees; more recently, he is active in the County Engineers Association of Ohio (CEAO).
