PRACTICE FOCUS: I have long focused my private outpatient medical practice of PM&R on the direct physician evaluation & treatment of patients who suffer the physical & psychological effects of musculo-skeletal, neurological, brain injury/concussion & pain centered physical/medical conditions which are often the result of trauma. I emphasize conservative treatments & principles of medical care in effort to limit the physical & psychological disability which is often associated with these sometimes chronic/incurable conditions. My longstanding special interest has been treating patients who have been injured by occupational accidents/exposures & other trauma. In effort to improve daily functional abilities & quality of daily life. I work to assist my patients to recover as fully as is possible while also limiting, to the degree possible, the physical & psychological disabling effects of their more permanent conditions. Following my residency training & board certification by The American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, I have continued to regularly seek appropriate to my practice continuing medical education & strive to maintain current expertise in all aspects of the evaluation and treatment of patients who require medical pain & disability management due to their injuries and/or disease process. In addition to my active patient centered direct medical treatment practice, I also provide second medical opinions in various capacities & complete medical file reviews within my field of expertise. I also provide impairment/disability assessments which consider the principles of The AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment with understanding of the most current application of The Guides & maintain current knowledge in the interpretation of clinical drug testing.
