I am a highly skilled and dedicated professional specializing in personal injuries that stem from failure to complete work that is in compliance with the Building Code. This would include falls due to shoddy construction, poorly build or illegally build stairways, poorly built or illegally built decks or floors constructed without the required permits and inspections. I have forty years experience in the construction industry. Twenty-eight years as a licensed builder/contractor and for the last twelve years as the Building Commissioner for a municipality on Cape Code MA. In my time as Building Commissioner I was responsible for reviewing plans of residential and commercial buildings, issuing building permits for the proposed work and then monitoring and inspecting to insure full compliance with the Massachusetts State Building Code (780 CMR). I was also responsible for enforcement of 521 CMR, ( MA version of the Americans with Disabilities Act) Architectural Access Board requirements as they apply to buildings that should be accessible for people with disabilities.
