Additional Information

With 21 years of dedicated service in the funeral profession, I bring extensive experience as a licensed embalmer, licensed funeral director, and licensed crematory manager. Throughout my career, I have guided families through some of their most difficult moments with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. I have been responsible for all aspects of funeral service operations, including embalming, arranging services, overseeing cremations, and ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards. I have embalmed over a thousand decedents with varying degrees of complexities as well as cases needing restorative art. Funeral Industry Expert Witness & Consultant I provide independent expert witness and consulting services in civil litigation involving funeral homes, crematories, embalming, and other areas of the death care profession. Drawing upon more than 30 years of practical experience as a California Licensed Funeral Director and Licensed Cremated Remains Disposer, I assist attorneys in evaluating whether funeral service providers complied with accepted industry standards and professional practices. My work includes reviewing records, photographs, policies, procedures, deposition testimony, and other case materials to identify compliance with the applicable standard of care. I prepare comprehensive written expert reports and opinions addressing funeral home operations, embalming practices, cremation procedures, decedent identification, chain of custody, handling and storage of human remains, restorative care, and regulatory compliance. I have experience evaluating cases involving alleged negligence, improper handling or preparation of decedents, embalming deficiencies, cremation and identification issues, delays in services, operational failures, and departures from accepted funeral service practices. My opinions are based on established mortuary science principles, applicable laws and regulations, and decades of hands-on experience owning and managing funeral homes and a crematory. My goal is to deliver objective, thorough, and well-supported opinions that assist counsel and the court in understanding the professional standards governing the funeral service industry.
