Dr. Rodriguez earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 1999, completed his General Surgery Residency as Chief Resident at Summa Health Systems in 2004, and finalized a Plastic Surgery Fellowship as Chief Resident at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2009. Currently, Dr. Rodriguez maintain an active surgical practice in Rockford, Illinois, and serve as a teaching faculty member for the Medical Center Podiatry Residency and the University of Illinois College of Medicine since 2013. In 2024, he was appointed Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Additionally, he held a position on the Illinois State Medical Board (2022–2025), contributing to medical regulation and oversight.
