Dr. Shelley Leininger is board certified in clinical neuropsychology and is a licensed psychologist in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Dr. Leininger has extensive neuropsychological assessment experience with individuals who have sustained traumatic brain injuries and concussions. She has also provided treatment in an interdisciplinary concussion clinic and has published research on factors impacting recovery following concussion treatment. Dr. Leininger has worked with young and older adults presenting with dementia variants (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, etc.), movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease), epilepsy, brain tumors, stroke, HIV, and psychiatric disorders, as well as children and adults presenting with ADHD and learning disabilities. She conducts forensic neuropsychological evaluations and Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs), as well as peer/case record reviews and consultations.
