Dr. Benson Pulikkottil MD, FACS is a double board-certified burn, orthopedic hand, nerve, plastic surgeon and microsurgeon. He has been the medical director of the Burn and Reconstructive Center at Swedish Medical Center since 2017. In April 2022, he secured the prestigious and distinguishing accolade of American Burn Verification marking Swedish Medical Center as one of three hospitals with American Burn Verification amongst the 184 hospitals within the HCA system. In addition, Dr. Pulikkottil daily performs the full gamut of plastic and reconstructive surgery with additional expertise in hand, wrist and upper extremity reconstruction. With over 30 peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and abstracts, he is an expert in his field.
