Additional Information

I am a master’s prepared Registered Nurse, Board Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics, Inpatient Antepartum, and Electronic Fetal Monitoring. With a career rooted in direct patient care, I have spent years providing expert nursing services in a high-acuity Level III perinatal center, including labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, newborn nursery, and limited neonatal intensive care settings. My clinical practice reflects a strong commitment to patient and family-centered care, with a consistent record of excellence in managing complex obstetrical and perinatal cases. Beyond bedside care, I have played a key role in professional development and clinical education. I have trained and oriented new staff nurses and nursing assistants, coordinated and led obstetric emergency simulation drills, and served as an instructor for yearly competencies and new policies and protocols. My experience also includes direct involvement in fetal surgeries during the antenatal period as well as complicated deliveries at various gestations, reflecting a deep familiarity with high-risk obstetrical procedures and interdisciplinary collaboration. In both staff nurse and clinical supervisor roles, I have delivered effective instruction in theory and practice, helping to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical performance. I am deeply committed to fostering the development of novice and student nurses, ensuring they gain the skills, confidence, and clinical judgment necessary to become safe and effective healthcare providers. I remain committed to best practice through continued attendance at educational conferences and membership to professional organizations. As an expert witness, I bring a comprehensive understanding of perinatal nursing standards, critical care practices, and maternal-fetal health, supported by hands-on experience, professional certification, and a passion for advancing the quality of obstetrical care.
