Dr. Clare Rock, MD, PhD, MS, FIDSA, FSHEA, is an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in clinical medicine, infection prevention, and hospital epidemiology. She serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she combines cutting-edge clinical research with a strong foundation in education, and quality improvement, and also for the Health Service Executive, Ireland. Dr. Rock specializes in infectious diseases, infection control, hospital-acquired infections, and antibiotic stewardship, with particular expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of complex healthcare-associated infections. Her scholarship includes numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, national presentations, and contributions to best practices in infection prevention. Dr. Rock has been recognized for her teaching excellence and has trained medical students, residents, fellows, and colleagues across disciplines. In her expert witness work, Dr. Rock has provided expert opinions for both plaintiff and defense cases. Notably, she served as the defense expert in Gardner-Alfred et al v. Federal Reserve Bank of New York, No. 1:2022cv01585 - Document 191 (S.D.N.Y. 2023) where the case was dismissed at summary judgment (see: Gardner-Alfred et al v. Federal Reserve Bank of New York).
