Dr. Josue Gabriel is an orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in orthopedic spine surgery, based in Columbus, OH. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and graduated from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. He received his undergraduate degree from Temple University. Since 1998, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at Cooper University Hospital (1998-2002). He was Director of Division of Spine Surgery and Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at The Ohio State University (2004-2007). Dr. Gabriel has been in private practice since 2012 and founded his company: Spine Institute of Ohio. He has a significant focus on minimally invasive spine (MIS) surgical techniques, and less invasive surgery of the spine. Dr. Gabriel has extensive experience in outpatient spine surgery. Dr. Gabriel has extensive experience in revision spine surgery, sacroiliac joint surgery, disc replacement surgery, and various spine surgeries, including complex cervical, thoracic, and lumbar, with a focus on less invasive techniques. He has contributed to several publications in reputable journals, including The Spine Journal, where his work has been frequently cited. Additionally, he received the Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certification from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in 2012. Dr. Gabriel holds active licenses in: OH, PA, IL, FL, MO, ID, NJ. Dr. Gabriel is Board Certified by the ABOS certification expires 12-31-2033.
