Edward Priz has worked with Workers Compensation and General Liability insurance since 1978 as an agent, broker, underwriter, auditor, and consultant. He holds the designations Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Premium Auditing (APA). He has been accepted as an Expert Witness in state and federal courts across the U.S. in civil and criminal cases and arbitrations. He has also testified in Workers Compensation insurance administrative hearings in multiple states regarding proper computation of Workers Compensation insurance premiums. He has testified multiple times before the Illinois legislature regarding legislation on Workers Compensation insurance and has served on a task force organized by the Illinois Department of Insurance to help the department implement legislation on Workers Compensation insurance premiums. He has consulted on Workers Compensation insurance audits, premiums, and classifications for policies of all types and sizes, including Retrospective Rating policies, Large Deductible policies, Guaranteed Cost policies, and Assigned Risk policies. He has also consulted on several class actions involving Workers Compensation insurance premiums in various states. He is the author of three books on Workers Compensation insurance and has been retained by client companies of all types and sizes, all across the United States, and by insurance companies and agencies, to serve as a consultant and expert witness regarding Workers compensation insurance classifications, audits, premiums, underwriting, auditing, experience modification factors, and related issues including insurance agent professional duties. Clients have included manufacturers, construction companies, staffing agencies, health care providers, and others, including an NFL team, government agencies, and a U.S. Government laboratory, a third party administrator for a group self-insurance program, a premium audit provider to insurance companies, and multiple insurance companies.
