Vonne G. Jones MD is a Board Certified physician in Obstetrics/Gynecology with 13 years of experience as an attending physician in Houston, Texas. Since completing residency, she has served as Chair of the Department of Obstetrician/Gynecology, Member of the Medical Executive Committee at Memorial Hermann Northeast, and Infection Prevention Committee at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights. She values education and serves as a preceptor/mentor within the community by participating as a volunteer for Mock medical interviews at Rice University, a clinical rotation site for NP/PA students, speaking in the community on Women's Health, and providing guidance to students interested in applying to medical school. She is also the owner of Total Women’s care practice in the Heights, which provides high risk obstetric and gynecology to the Houston community, which includes deliveries, well women exams, contraception, abnormal uterine bleeding, surgical evaluation for pelvic pain, and surgical treatments for uterine fibroids. In addition to providing care in the community, Dr. Jones is also intrigued by clinical trials and facilitating minority participation to diversify medicine. Total Women’s Care has been a recruiter site, and sub-investigator for clinical trials, and is now a primary investigator for Obstetrical studies, and is pursuing acquiring funding to study uterine fibroids.
