I am a board-certified Neurologist and Neuro-oncologist and Clinician Scientist, Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I bring a wealth of clinical experience and scientific expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of solid tumors including glioblastoma (GBM), other brain tumors, neurological complications of cancer and general neurology, as well as leadership in cutting- edge clinical and translational research in early detection, more sensitive diagnostic tools and therapeutic strategies in neuro-oncology, molecular signaling in cancer progression, mechanisms of tumor resistance and tumorigenesis, brain tumor biomarkers, clinical trial development and implementation and quality of life (QOL) issues in brain tumor patients. My recent clinical and research interests also include genomics, pharmacogenomics and precision health solutions and innovations in neurology and neuro-oncology and in building strategic and sustainable partnerships with academia, healthcare institutions and the industry to drive high quality care for patients. I am currently a member of several neurology and oncology consortia including African Brain Tumor Registry and Biobanking Consortium, COVID-19 and Cancer Research Consortium, NIH Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative, NRG Oncology and Caris Life Science Precision Oncology Alliance CNS Group. I am also a member of several academic and professional society including the American Academy of Neurology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Society of Neuro-Oncology. I have also lectured on brain tumors and its complications at local, national, and international conferences and seminars.
