Jessica Keim Malpass, PhD, RN, CPNP, FAAN, is a pediatric hematology-oncology nurse practitioner, registered nurse, and nurse scientist. She was a registered nurse in adult oncology, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (pediatric critical care) and Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant (stem cell transplant). She currently works as a pediatric nurse practitioner and is a faculty member at a major academic health center. She collaborates closely with physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, APPs. She has additional expertise in artificial intelligence-based analytics and evolving regulatory and legal implications and cases related to post-operative complications, child maltreatment and/or abuse, non-accidental trauma, sexual assault and/or abuse. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, National Science Foundation, and numerous philanthropic organizations, including the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and the American Cancer Society. She has been recognized as a National Academy of Medicine Scholar in Diagnostic Excellence as well as a Betty Irene Moore Nurse Innovator Fellow. She regularly presents to national and international audiences related to her practice area and research.
