Dr. Shah is a licensed forensic psychologist specializing in criminal forensic evaluations. As the founder of Atlas Psychological Services, LLC, he provides expert psychological assessments for attorneys and courts. He serves as an expert witness in legal cases, offering clear, well-supported opinions on complex psychological issues. Dr. Shah has extensive experience conducting competency to stand trial evaluations, criminal responsibility (insanity) assessments, violence risk assessments, psychosexual evaluations, and mitigation assessments. He frequently evaluates individuals involved in criminal proceedings and post-conviction matters. His expertise extends to assessments involving serious mental illness and cognitive and intellectual functioning. Before establishing his private practice, Dr. Shah worked in both inpatient and outpatient forensic mental health settings, assessing individuals involved in the legal system. He also holds a role as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine.
