Dr. Kamyar Assil is a board-certified anesthesiologist with subspecialty certification in pain management. He is fellowship-trained and has extensive expertise in interventional pain management. Dr. Assil earned his Bachelor of Science with honors in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his Medical Degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center and his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He pursued two pain management fellowships—one at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn and an advanced clinical fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the Manhattan Center for Pain Management, Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. Dr. Assil is an active member of several esteemed medical societies, including the American Medical Association, the Spine Intervention Society, the California Medical Association, and the Ventura County Medical Association. He serves on the faculty of USC Medical School, lectures in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, and is a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) and expert witness specializing in interventional pain management.
