I am a board-certified OB/GYN with 29 years of experience. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology at Brown University and my MD degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine. I completed my OB/GYN residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and worked as an Assistant Professor there for 6 years. As an academician, I am well-versed in practicing evidence-based medicine. I have several years of experience as a Medical Defense Expert Witness in both obstetrics and gynecology, bringing critical insight and expertise to legal cases. I have been operating my solo practice, Village Crossing Women's Health, and practicing general OB/GYN for the last 25 years. Besides caring for high-risk pregnant patients and general gynecologic patients, I have developed particular interests and expertise in minimally-invasive gynecologic surgeries using the daVinci platform and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. I also run Village Crossing Wellness, which specializes in various routes of administration of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, including pellet therapy, weight loss therapy, and general health and wellness. During my solo practice career, my leadership roles have seen me serve twice as Chief of Women's Services at my hospital. I have been actively involved in the clinical review and quality assessment of my peers, ensuring the highest standards of care. My contributions have been recognized with the honor of Physician of the Year at my institution. Furthermore, I have proctored new gynecologists on the da Vinci platform with Intuitive Surgical and have consulted for a leading wound care company, contributing to a publication on the benefits of negative-pressure wound therapy in obstetrical patients.
