Additional Information

Lloyd Princeton, has been immersed in the design industry, working with interior designers and architects, as well as with showrooms, design centers, and manufacturers. Early on, Lloyd identified the need that design professionals have for sound business advice and guidance to effectively manage and grow their practices. Fulfilling this need became the cornerstone of his consultancy firm, Design Management Company (DMC), which he founded in 1999 to assist his clients with matters such as contract negotiation, pricing, marketing, staffing, and product licensing and distribution. Once he’d built DMC into the design community’s premier resource for business development, Lloyd set his sights on his clients’ hiring needs. Realizing that most recruiters are generalists, filling jobs across the entire spectrum of employment, Lloyd started IDTalentsearch.com (IDT) - a specialty placement agency focused exclusively on the architecture and design industry. Since its creation in 2014, IDT has established a proven track record of recruiting and placing top-tier creative, management and sales professionals. In addition to running DMC and IDT, Lloyd is a sought after speaker internationally. Lloyd has been the MC, keynote speaker and moderator for numerous conferences, seminars and speaking engagements sponsored by design industry companies and trade organizations. He speaks to a full range of topics addressing recent trends and developments in the design industry and consumer market, reflected in his signature presentations, “A New Conversation: Evolving your Business with the DIY Consumer,” “Deciding What You Are Worth and Charging It!” and his “Master’s Class.” Lloyd’s client list includes American Express, Design Within Reach, High Point Market Authority, Williams Sonoma, and hundreds of reputable design and architecture firms throughout North America. Lloyd has been featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, The Epoch Times and Hospitality Design, among others. Articles Lloyd has authored can be found on TheEpochTimes.com and exclusive.multibriefs.com, as well as on his own website, dmcnyc.com. The second edition of his book, “Marketing Interior Design,” was published through Allworth Press in New York. Lloyd has also appeared on television, on the Style Network, in the pilot for the series he created, “Matched by Design” and the Wall Street Journal Weekend Edition. Lloyd serves the industry as an expert witness in disputes and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Foster Children. He cares deeply about helping people by providing them the tools to help themselves.
