15+Additional Information
I am a Clinical Associate Professor of OB/GYN at the University of Washington, where I have been in clinical practice for 15 years. I have an Ivy educated background graduating Cum Laude from Yale University and attained my medical degree at Columbia University. I am board certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. With over 15 years of clinical work at one of the highest acuity labor floors in the country, my expertise includes high-risk pregnancies and OB complications including birth injuries. We serve as a referral center for transfers from home births as well as Washington’s neighboring states for obstetrical cases and complications. I teach and work with medical students, residents, midwives, and family physicians. My experience also includes gynecologic conditions, surgery, and complications. I have been a highly respected and recognized clinician and named a "Top Doc" in our community for 6 years in a row. I have held various leadership roles including Division Director and Associate Medical Director of Labor and Delivery. I review OB cases as a longstanding member of our OB Perinatal Event Review Team, and I have served on our OB/GYN Patient Safety and Quality Committee and moderated our Morbidity and Mortality Conference for over 10 years. Working as a clinician at an academic center, I am at the forefront of understanding and practicing evidence-based medicine while teaching medical students and residents. With my combination of clinical expertise, leadership, and teaching, I excel at translating medical events and diagnosis and communicating with non-medical professionals and audiences.
