I am a board-certified, fellowship-trained hand surgeon. I have been in practice for 15 years. I specialize in problems of the hand and wrist. I have practiced in numerous settings including Academics at a Level 1 trauma center, as well as community practice at Level 2 and Level 3 trauma centers. I am certified in Surgery and in Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Surgery. I am licensed to practice in South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Texas. After completing my fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the University of Louisville in 2010, I stayed on faculty as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Louisville and the Kleinert Kutz Hand Care Center for 5 years. In 2015, I relocated to the Center for Neuroscience, Orthopedics, and Spine (CNOS) in Dakota Dunes, SD where I served as Attending Hand Surgeon, Partner, and Chair of Surgery at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, IA. My practice is now based out of Sioux Falls, SD at Avera Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. I treat patients of all ages including babies, children, adults, and the elderly. My practice involves trauma to the hand and wrist which includes fractures, tendon and nerve injuries. A significant portion of my practice includes work-related injuries, workers' comp and overuse injuries. I also treat a significant number of athletes with injuries to the hand and wrist. I treat patients of all ages with degenerative conditions such as arthritis, tendinopathies, and neuropathies.
