Additional Information

I am a dedicated and accomplished Human Resources (HR) professional and consultant with over 30 years of real-world experience in HR. I am a former Chief Human Resources Officer, author, trainer and keynote speaker. I specialize in employment law including wrongful termination, Title VII, FMLA, CFRA and FLSA compliance in California and across the United States. I have a comprehensive and thorough understanding of HR processes, systems, and compliance requirements. I have a Master's degree in Public Administration and Human Resources Management and I am currently completing my doctorate degree in business administration. For the past 15 years, I have served as a trusted expert witness, leveraging my vast expertise to provide authoritative testimony and consultation in complex legal cases in both state and federal courts throughout the nation. I am regularly engaged to evaluate HR practices and policies, provide post-action assessments and provide litigation support. I am adept at making technical HR and legal concepts understandable. I am very detail-oriented and strive to always provide a cogent and well-informed perspective supported by evidence in the case and applicable policies, statutes and regulations. I stay abreast of all changes in employment law and frequently speak at HR and business conferences. I also provide training and staff development programs to executive teams. I have consulted on over 200 state and federal cases involving a wide array of employment disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants (~50/50). I have been deposed ~70 times, written numerous reports and testified in court five times. I have worked tirelessly to earn a reputation for credibility, professionalism and mastery of legal and HR intricacies and I have never been disqualified as an expert witness.
