Additional Information

I am a board-certified medical oncologist with nearly 20 years of experience as a clinical investigator and translational researcher. I bring a deep understanding of oncology drug development and clinical practice. My leadership roles over the past 15 years span community, academic, and research institutions, including serving as faculty at Harvard Medical School. Currently, I am an Affiliate Associate Professor at UMass Chan Medical School and have over five years of experience as a biotech/pharmaceutical medical oncologist. My industry roles include: - Chief Medical Officer for a clinical-stage ADC company. - Chief Medical Officer for a medical technology company developing AI-powered cancer diagnostic tools. - Vice President of Clinical Sciences and medical lead for a CAR-T therapy development company. In these positions, I contributed to business due diligence, investor fundraising presentations, and strategic clinical trial planning. As a clinical investigator, I have led over 100 phase I-III oncology studies, primarily focusing on first-in-human trials, and numerous biomarker/translational research studies. My work has contributed to the FDA approval of at least nine drugs I evaluated during phase I trials. Additionally, I have consulted for biotech companies on drug development strategy and clinical trial medical monitoring for both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. For nearly a decade, I have advised sequencing and biomarker theranostic companies. My ongoing collaborations as an active translational researcher have resulted in co-authorship on over 325 scientific publications and conference abstracts, as well as multiple issued U.S. patents. Prior to working as an expert witness, I served for four years as a Medical Oncology Consultant for the Arizona Medical Board, reviewing numerous cases for the appropriateness of treatment and compliance with the standard of care. I also have experience providing expert opinions, depositions, and testimony in complex cases, including major U.S. federal court patent litigation involving cancer treatment patents. **Expertise Areas:** - Evaluation of cancer diagnosis, surveillance, treatment, and compliance with the standard of care. - Patent litigation related to cancer therapies. - Drug development strategy and clinical trial design. Since 2017, I have consulted as an expert witness for both defendant and plaintiff cases, offering comprehensive, evidence-based insights.
