Since 2003, Gary E. Kilpatrick, PE, DFE at The Kilpatrick Group, PA has been a forensic engineering service provider to our legal and insurance clients. Gary is a board-certified Forensic Engineer through the National Academy of Forensic Engineers (NAFE) and is a Diplomat Forensics Engineer (DFE). Gary is a mechanical design engineer, and a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in 16 states currently. Gary has approximately 20 years of industrial work experience and is an OSHA expert with OSHA 29CFR 1910, 29CFR 1926 and 29CFR 1928 and has OSHA regulations safety certifications as well as FDA and cGMP in animal food processing. He travels throughout the United States to investigate and reconstruct industrial accidents. Gary is one of the top Forklift experts in the United States including the sit-down, stand-up narrow aisles pantograph, turret type, Telehandler rough terrain forklifts and pallet jack troubleshooting and accident investigation to our legal and insurance clients. He is a certified trainer for all forklift types. Gary has an in-depth engineering knowledge of forklift stability, load center, fork, carriage design, mast chains and Newtonian physics for forklifts. Gary worked for the inventor of the forklift namely the Clark Equipment Company for five consecutive years. Clark Equipment invented the forklift, the frontend loader, the BobCat skidsteer among many other types of earth moving machines and was the main competitor to Caterpillar. Gary has well over 1000+ hours of hands-on work experience operating both sit-down, stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks plus five years of industrial work experience machining, assembling rough terrain forklift and mobile crane drive train components. Gary maintains a current forklift license per the OSHA federal safety regulations 29CFR1910.178. Gary travels throughout the United States and investigates and reconstructs industrial forklift accidents. Gary is a mobile wheeled telescoping boom crane expert in accident investigation to our legal and insurance clients. Gary is knowledgeable of all crane ASME standards and all OSHA crane regulations. Gary is knowledgeable of a crane’s load chart and range diagram regarding the boom length, boom angles and lift radius, rigging weight, load moment indicators, gross and net lifting capacities. Gary is currently enrolled in crane school to become a certified crane operator. Gary’s certification body is the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). Gary is an overhead bridge crane expert to our legal and insurance clients. Gary is a mechanical design engineer who has studied the sciences of bridge crane design and bridge crane Newtonian physics and has design experience in overhead cranes. He travels throughout the United States to investigate and reconstruct industrial crane accidents. Gary worked for the Clark Equipment Company where he manufactured rough terrain forklift and rough terrain telescoping boom crane drive train components and has hands-on bridge crane work experience to lift heavy mechanical assemblies. Gary is a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) expert including Genie lifts and Scissor lifts to our legal and insurance clients. Gary is a certified operator and trainer for the MEWPs. Gary has an in-depth engineering knowledge of MEWP regulations, stability, load center, Newtonian physics, inspections and maintenance services and investigates and reconstructs industrial MEWP accidents. Gary travels throughout the United States to investigate Amusement Park Ride accidents concerning product defect and failure claims resulting in personal injury or wrongful death.
