I practice Interventional Radiology (IR) with over 33 years of clinical attending practice experience at a busy tertiary care referral center. I hold a dual board certification in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. I hold active medical licenses in Vermont, Utah, New York, and California. Currently, I serve as Professor Emeritus at University of Vermont and Adjunct Professor at University of Utah. My professional career has included the gamut of IR procedures. Some of the procedures I perform are peripheral vascular disease interventions, angiograms, aneurysm treatments, venous disease and pulmonary embolism interventions, thrombectomy and thrombolysis, IVC filters, image guided tumor ablation including cryoablation, radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, and irreversible electroporation (IRE), image guided drainage of organ systems and abscesses, cholecystostomy, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, hepatobiliary interventions, biliary stone removal, biopsy, embolization of GI bleeds, tumors, and trauma hemorrhage, stents and angioplasty, to name a few. I have taught medical students, residents, and fellows throughout my career. My teaching roles have included serving as the Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency, Co-founder and Director of the Interventional Radiology Fellowship, and a “Master Teacher” member of the Teaching Academy, at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. I have proctored many physicians in various procedures over many years, such as lung tumor ablation, carotid artery stents, airway stents, IVC filter placement and retrievals, endograft treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms, and tumor ablation. I am knowledgeable about all facets of IR. I am an expert in diagnostic radiology and imaging of the vascular system. I have performed research throughout my career and have authored many research papers and book chapters, while lecturing widely on many topics of IR and IR research. My experience with the medicolegal system is broad, as I have served as a medical expert in medical malpractice and product liability cases. Regarding medical malpractice, I have been retained by the defendants and the plaintiffs. Over the past four years, I have testified in 16 depositions and trials.
