Additional Information

I have been a hospital-based (inpatient) neurologist for my entire 18-year career. I have worked in an academic setting as a faculty at Indiana University School of Medicine and at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. I have also worked at multiple community-based hospitals in Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Virginia. After practicing full-time for several years, I went to law school and I am currently admitted to the Bar in Indiana. I have worked with many attorneys in Indiana, consulting on medical malpractice and personal injury cases. As an attorney, I have deposed physicians and nurses and I have been deposed myself as an expert witness. I currently practice part time as a locum tenens inpatient neurologist. I have seen thousands of inpatients and have expertise in both common and rare neurological conditions. I have treated thousands of stroke patients and I stay up to date with all the AHA/ASA guidelines. I have treated hundreds of patients with anoxic brain injury, coma, TBI, epilepsy, dementia, delirium, and other acute neurological conditions. I also have expertise in other less-common acute neurological conditions such as meningitis and encephalitis (infectious, autoimmune, and paraneoplastic), myasthenia gravis exacerbations, MS exacerbations, Guillain-Barre (AIDP), toxic neuropathies, medication and drug overdose and withdrawal, and others. Given my length and breadth of practice, I am well-versed in the standard of care for an inpatient neurologist in multiple states, and in various hospital settings, including tele-neurology. I have reviewed hundreds of potential medical malpractice cases and I have been actively involved in dozens of medical malpractice cases in all fields of medicine. I offer case reviews, written reports, affidavits of merit in states that require such, and submissions to medical review panels in states that require such. I am willing to travel and testify in-person as an expert witness in discovery or testamentary depositions and I am willing to testify at trials. I am willing to serve as an expert witness for either the Plaintiff or the Defendant.
