Dr. Jason Aldred, MD, FAAN, is a highly respected neurologist with extensive clinical practice, academic teaching, and research expertise. As the owner of Selkirk Neurology, PLLC, and Inland Northwest Research, LLC, he has served the Spokane and Inland Northwest communities for over a decade. Dr. Aldred specializes in neurology with additional special interest in in movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and nerve brain and spine disorders making him uniquely qualified to serve as an expert witness in complex neurological cases. His dedication to advancing neurology is evident in his leadership roles, including Director of the Huntington Disease Center of Excellence at Selkirk Neurology. Previously, he chaired the Department of Neurology at Gundersen Health System and directed its Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center. Dr. Aldred earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed his residency, chief residency, and Movement Disorders Fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), where he also participated in advanced research training through the Human Investigators Program. He is board-certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with recertifications in 2020 and 2024. Licensed to practice in Washington, Montana, Idaho, and Arizona, Dr. Aldred has over 15 years of clinical experience in neurology and has conducted over 100 clinical trials, focusing on novel therapies for neurological conditions. A prolific researcher and educator, Dr. Aldred has authored over 25 peer-reviewed articles published in leading medical journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine and Lancet Neurology. He has presented his findings at prestigious international conferences, such as the Movement Disorders Society and the American Academy of Neurology. His research spans advanced Parkinson’s therapies, genetic-targeted treatments, and neuromodulation, including deep brain stimulation. Recognized for his ability to distill complex medical concepts into clear, accessible language, Dr. Aldred excels in both academic and legal contexts, making him an ideal expert witness for cases involving neurological conditions. Dr. Aldred’s professional honors include his designation as a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN) and multiple academic scholarships, including the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
