I am a board-certified emergency medicine physician with over 20 years of experience in clinical emergency medicine, forensic medicine, and peer review. I specialize in providing medical-legal consultation and expert testimony in medical malpractice, personal injury, negligence, standard of care, causation, and wrongful death cases to attorneys nationwide. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from Cornell University in 1992 and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1998. I completed my emergency medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, one of the nation's leading training programs. Board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, I continuously engage in professional development and education to stay current with medical advancements and guidelines. Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse healthcare settings, including high-volume urban emergency departments, trauma centers, rural facilities, and combat zones as a commissioned officer in the United States Army. Currently, I practice full-time in a community emergency department in Northern California, where I also mentor and teach newly graduated advanced practice providers. I am the founder of Grundy MD Consulting, a firm that provides pre-litigation medical opinions, development of medical theories, assessment of medical damages, future medical cost analysis, case de-risking services, and expert testimony. My expertise in analyzing medical records, evaluating standards of care, and offering impartial opinions has been widely recognized by the legal community. In addition to my clinical practice, I have served as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and have lectured internationally.
