Dr. Jason Cheung, MD is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. For nearly twenty years, he owned and operated Silverdale and Bainbridge Eye Physicians where he practiced Comprehensive and Pediatric Ophthalmology and performed thousands of cataract and strabismus operations. He currently is the staff ophthalmologist for the Mary Bridge Children’s Eye Center in Tacoma, Washington and he is a Clinical Associate Professor in the University of Washington, School of Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota. He then returned to Canada to complete his fellowships in Ocular Genetics and in Pediatric Ophthalmology at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He has been in active clinical practice in Washington for over 25 years and had performed over 30 chart reviews as expert witness. Dr Cheung was appointed to the Washington Medical Commission by Governor Jay Inslee and served from 2017 to 2020. He was voted one of Top 100 Seattle’s Doctors in 2023 and 2024.
