Kevin L Taylor MD I have extensive experience in the specialty of emergency medicine and hospital governance. I have been in full time clinical practice since 2009 and have been continuously board certified throughout my career. I have been clinical faculty of emergency medicine at 3 hospital systems since 2010 including Associate Clinical Faculty since 2020 at Florida Atlantic University Emergency Medicine Residency program. In these roles I have trained new physicians on the practice of emergency medicine. I have been the Medical Director for a two-hospital system in South Florida for almost 5 years which includes oversight of two emergency departments and a pediatric emergency department. In that role I was responsible for direct operational oversight of 30+ full time and part time emergency physicians, pediatricians, and advanced practice providers. These two facilities saw over 60,000 patient visits per year. Within this role I served as Chair of Emergency Medicine Services continuously for the hospital Medical Executive Committee as well as Peer review committee. The roles above afforded me extensive experience for reviewing medical cases. As an ED medical director, I am responsible for reviewing all patient complaints and clinical concerns related to ED care. The position also grants me continuous representation on the hospital’s Medical Executive Committee which gives me involvement in a wide array of hospital governance issues. I have also had continuous involvement in the hospitals Peer Review Committee since 2020. This committee reviews all hospital wide clinical cases that are flagged due to concerns regarding clinical care and provider professionalism. I have also been involved in provider practice improvement and coaching for staff physicians who are at risk for termination due to deficiencies in their practice or conflicts with the hospital. Further, I have superb academic credentials having received specialty training at a large tertiary care hospital in the southeast, Wake Forest University, which is one of the top Emergency Medicine training programs in the country. I possess high-level communication skills for deposition, video deposition, and testimony when necessary.
