Casey Lewis is a medical Speech-Language Pathologist, Certified Neonatal Therapist, Certified Lactation Counselor, & Endoscopist. She owns and operates TexScope LLC, a Texas based mobile swallowing diagnostic company that specializes in Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing. TexScope partners with critical access hospitals, acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities and private practices, serving as their swallowing diagnostic expert. She is a respected expert in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and specializes in swallowing disorders across the lifespan. She is an active expert witness and is a sought-out speaker and educator both in the US and across the world. She is the creator of NICU Oral Feeding Algorithm, which aids medical teams in clinically navigating oral feeding decision-making within the NICU space. Casey has been an invited speaker at 14 universities across the USA, and has presented research at the local level, state level, national level and international level. Casey received her undergraduate education from The University of Texas at Austin, earning degrees in Government and Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from University of North Texas. Casey initially desired to become an attorney herself, after experiencing the complexities of being a sibling to a non-speaking individual diagnosed with Autism. She later decided to become a Speech-Language Pathologist and entered the realm of expert witnessing after being pursued by an attorney in a different state. Casey is currently serving as a board member for the Neonatal Therapy Certification Board and specializes in both infant bottle feeding and breastfeeding. She is also a NICU mother herself and realizes and respects the deep complexities of the NICU space.
