Christopher J. Roth, MD, MMCI, FACR, FSIIM serves as: Professor of Radiology at Duke University School of Medicine, with a specialty of neuroradiology, Lead Physician for the Duke Health Imaging Service Line, Vice Chair in the Department of Radiology for IT and Informatics, and Director of Imaging Informatics Strategy at Duke Health. - Clinical activities: Dr. Roth’s clinical work focuses on diagnostic CT and MRI, as well as interventional spine pain procedures and biopsies. Dr. Roth has not been named in a malpractice case in his fifteen years of clinical practice. - Administrative Leadership: In leading Duke Health’s Imaging Service Line, Dr. Roth is responsible and accountable for strategies and operations for imaging clinical growth and access, quality and safety, people, as well as revenue cycle and capital outlays. - Informatics Leadership: Fifteen years of informatics leadership by Dr. Roth has included more than 200 national and international informatics lectures and numerous peer-reviewed publications. He is a recognized leader in the field, contributing to various national organizations such as the American College of Radiology (ACR), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). His informatics work focuses on enterprise imaging strategies, standards development, governance, artificial intelligence, and the integration of imaging technologies into healthcare settings. - Additional Activities: Finally, Dr. Roth participates in one-to-two expert witness engagements per year in neuroimaging or imaging informatics, has served as a compensated informatics consultant for four corporate services, and offered pro bono consulting to many health systems and industry partners.
