Mark Ettinger, M.D. is a board-certified anesthesiologist and independent expert witness with more than 15 years of active clinical practice. He completed his anesthesiology residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital after training in general surgery and neurological surgery at UT Southwestern. He graduated valedictorian from LSU Health Sciences Center and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Ettinger has provided expert-witness consultation and testimony since 2015 in matters involving anesthesiology and critical care. His current practice areas include general anesthesia; airway management and difficult intubation; obstetric, regional, and neuraxial anesthesia; preoperative evaluation; postoperative complications; informed consent; medication errors; equipment issues; and physician supervision. He accepts both plaintiff and defense matters. Dr. Ettinger is President of Meridian Anesthesia, where he oversees clinical operations, physician recruitment, and quality assurance across multiple Dallas-Fort Worth facilities. Previously, he was an anesthesiologist and senior partner at Metropolitan Anesthesia Consultants and served at Medical City Arlington as Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology, Director of the Preoperative Assessment Clinic, Chair of the Hospital Ethics Committee, and Chair of the Collaborative Patient Care Committee. He holds a Texas medical license board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology through October 2032.
