Additional Information

In my 27 years of clinical, academic and teaching experience in Anesthesiology, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the practice of Anesthesiology in the combined settings of private, community and academic medicine. I am currently a full-time clinical anesthesiologist at Tufts Medical Center, the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Anesthesiology, and the Director of Neuroanesthesiology. As the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs, I am in the position to serve as a "sounding board"/consultant for our anesthesia faculty during our work with patients for various procedures. I am heavily involved in the education of our residents and student nurse anesthetists in Neuroanesthesia through daily case teaching combined with hands-on patient care as well as formal didactic lecture sessions. I received my medical degree from my hometown at the University of Kansas, completed my Anesthesia residency at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, and recently an Executive Physician MBA from The Heller School at Brandeis University. I am a Fellow of the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors (FAACD) as well as a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiology(FASA). My clinical passion is Neuroanesthesia but the breadth of my clinical expertise includes multi-specialty anesthesia care as I am engaged in full-call duties with cases involving trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedics, vascular, thoracic, urology, gynecology, ENT, and all of the non-OR anesthesia site cases (NORA). I would be happy to provide my complete curriculum vitae.
