Additional Information

Highly experienced Registered Nurse with over 14 years of diverse nursing experience in high-acuity settings. Since 2010, I have served as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at both Level 1 and Level 2 Trauma Centers, where I have honed my skills in providing expert care in a fast-paced emergency environment. My experience encompasses critical aspects of emergency medicine, including specialized care in stroke treatment, STEMI treatment, burn management, and trauma care. As an active member of the Sepsis Committee at one of my previous hospital positions, I played a critical role in enhancing sepsis care within the Emergency Room (ER). My primary contributions involved identifying pitfalls in existing sepsis management processes and initiating evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. As a Charge Nurse and Trauma Charge Nurse in the emergency department, I have led department operations and coordinated care for critical patients across specialized areas. A significant part of my role has been developing and delivering educational sessions for ER staff, focusing on the latest advancements and best practices in these critical care areas. Since 2018, I have expanded my expertise by taking on the role of a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse, bringing my critical care skills to the post-operative environment. In the PACU, I am responsible for the comprehensive care of patients recovering from various surgical procedures. This role demands a high level of vigilance and expertise in managing patients during the critical, immediate postoperative period. Additionally, I regularly assume Charge Nurse duties, which involve overseeing the unit's operations, managing staff assignments, and coordinating patient flow to optimize bed utilization and minimize delays in the perioperative process. This leadership role requires me to liaise effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care. A significant aspect of my PACU role involves leading educational initiatives. I help develop and implement training programs for PACU staff, focusing on emerging post-operative care protocols and the latest evidence-based practices in the PACU setting. These educational efforts have contributed to enhanced team performance and improved patient outcomes. I have also been an active member of the facility's Policy and Procedure Committee.
