I have been qualified to testify in County and Federal Courts in several states on matters of civil and criminal litigation related to psychological issues since 1980. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Temple University in 1970 and was accepted into Temple’s Ph.D. Psychology program with a full four-year fellowship, which accepted only 4% of applicants. I was granted my Ph.D. in 1975. My dissertation combined economic and psychological factors to predict quality of life. I completed formal psychoanalytic training in 1979 at the Post-Graduate Center for Mental Health in NYC. I am licensed to practice psychology in both Pennsylvania and Florida and hold a Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards. Additionally, I am certified to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT). I served as President of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association (1990–1991) and was elected to the Governing Council of the American Psychological Association, representing Pennsylvania psychologists from 1992 to 1995 and again from 2001 to 2003. I was honored with the Distinguished Service Award from the Pennsylvania Psychological Association in 2001. I was awarded the Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Psychology in 1982 and in Psychoanalysis in 2006. Less than 1% of psychologists have achieved two ABPP diplomate statuses. I am a Fellow of the Academy of Clinical Psychology (AClinP) of the American Board of Professional Psychology (since 1991) and a Fellow of the Academy of Psychoanalysis of the American Board of Professional Psychology (since 2006). In 2015, I was elected to Honorary Membership in the American Psychoanalytic Association for my contributions to the field. I was an American Psychological Association Approved Sponsor of Continuing Education for Psychologists from 1985 to 2011, being the first such sponsor in east-central Pennsylvania. I have been in independent practice since 1976, specializing in forensic psychology, psychodynamic psychotherapy, assessment, teaching, and research. I served as the Forensic Psychologist Consultant to the Lehigh County Public Defender’s Office from 2010 to 2020. I was a member of the Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual, 2nd Edition (PDM-2) Steering Committee and a section co-editor on psychological assessment tools (2014–2016). Since 1976, I have held academic appointments at Lehigh University, Yeshiva University, Chestnut Hill College, and Widener University, teaching and supervising doctoral students in clinical and forensic assessment. Since 1982, I have presented and led workshops nationally and internationally (e.g., Albania, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland) at conferences such as the International Psychoanalytic Association, American Psychoanalytic Association, American Psychological Association, and Society for Personality Assessment. Chair of Research and Scholarship Grants, China American Psychoanalytic Alliance (elected 2017–present). Reviewer for journals, including the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, Psychoanalytic Psychology, Current Psychology and Journal of Contemporary Psychotherapy. Research Editor for the journal Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in China (2025-). Delivered a TEDx Talk, “The Power of Apology,” in November 2014. Authored over 100 scholarly publications in peer-reviewed psychology journals, primarily in psychological assessment and diagnosis. Rated in the top 3% of forensic psychologists on ResearchGate for scholarly publications.
