Additional Information

I am a U.S. board certified neurosurgeon with over 15 years of experience treating patients at some of the nation's busiest Level 1 and Level 2 trauma centers, as well as elective patients requiring brain surgery or complex/ minimally invasive spine surgery. I am on faculty in the Neurosurgery Department at the University of Texas at Austin, where I teach residents the nuances of trauma neurosurgery and conduct research on new types of robotic spine surgery instrumentation. I maintain a high-volume clinical practice spanning both spine and brain surgery, for both degenerative and traumatic conditions. I am a sought-after consultant and expert in the medical device industry and have numerous peer-reviewed publications and patents. For the past 6 years, I have been fortunate to serve as a medicolegal expert in numerous cases. I am a member in good standing of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. I enjoy writing and public speaking, which are very helpful skills in the medicolegal domain; in my younger days I was a professional writer (journalist for the Associated Press) and I routinely give invited lectures at conferences and universities around the world.
