As a dedicated Emergency Medicine physician, I also hold active licensure in Internal Medicine. I am currently the Regional Emergency Department Chair within a prominent hospital system in New Jersey. My administrative and quality oversight roles have been extensive and varied, including a recent tenure as Interim Chief Medical Officer. I presently serve as the Vice President of the Medical Staff at one of our hospitals. I lead our hospital's Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) and actively participate in hospital and system-wide policy oversight committees. I collaborate closely with various departments to ensure the highest standards of patient care. Additionally, I chair our hospital's Professional Practice Excellence Committee (PPEC), which rigorously evaluates clinical care delivered by physicians. This committee operates as a multidisciplinary team, including Risk and Legal representatives, to uphold the utmost standards of clinical practice. My expertise extends to reviewing clinical cases and ensuring proper supervision and adherence to the highest standards of care across a diverse array of clinical support staff. This includes residents and allied health practitioners such as Physician Assistants (PAs), Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs), and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professionals, as their scope of practice has been evolving.
