I am a Michigan native, grew up in Holland. Attended MSU for undergraduate with a Bachelors in science of human biology. I then worked in the hospital system in my home town as a nurses aide, medical assistant, and infectious disease specialist for a year and a half. Completed medical school at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2018. I completed a neurology residency in Grand Rapids, MI through Spectrum Health (now Corewell Health) graduating in 2022. Completed a 2 year epilepsy fellowship program at Corewell Health graduating from the ACGME accredited position in 2023. The second year was focusing on complicated medically refractory epilepsy, presurgical and surgical evaluations, stereoelectroencephalograms (sEEG), and magnetoencephalography (MEG). Following my graduation in 2024 from the second year of fellowship, I was hired as a staff epileptologist with Corewell Health West in 2024. I am fresh in my career and interested in using my expertise to help guide and teach legal professionals about the complexity of epileptology and neurological medicine.
