Additional Information

I have lifetime of experience that is especially useful to legal professionals who would like to find the facts. The facts often resides in: 1. what was supposed to happen? 2. what actually happened? 3. what should have been differently (and by whom)? CONSTRUCTION I entered the construction industry in the 1980s and worked my way through college framing buildings on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, and Boston. I started my own construction company in 2001 that specialized in lead paint abatement, mold abatement, and single family/ multi-family remodeling. We performed over nearly 250 projects for clients spanning from New York to Maine. At the same time, I performed over 30 residential rehabilitations of single and multi-family properties in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I currently hold a Massachusetts Unlimited Construction Supervisor's License (CS-113267) ENGINEERING As an engineering consultant I completed over 150 projects of all sizes, and I have created more than 175 PE- stamped deliverables. Several engineering projects included expert witness services. Smaller engineering projects include beam calculations, construction deficiency reports, and a multitude of repair schematics. Medium-sized projects include ice dam studies on large buildings, structural and/or architectural plan sets (in REVIT), and building envelope assessments. Larger projects were typically construction administration projects that included different elements building dynamics. Larger projects usually included subcontractors and long project schedules, all of which my team and I performed performed in the field leveraging a multitude of technologies. SOFT SKILLS My effectiveness derives from my significant technical knowledge of construction and best-practice. My value to legal professionals is my ability to explain construction-related issues in a relatable delivery that lay-people will understand and remember. Furthermore, I understand the shame and disappointment that people feel when a business relationship deteriorates and I can navigate that meanwhile staying very focused on increasing the validity of their claim with facts. Thank you. Respectfully, Brian Hansen [email protected]
