Dual certified fleet management professional with over 50 years of hands-on fleet management and consulting experience to the transportation and construction sectors. Professional certifications include the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) designation earned in 2003 from the NAFA Fleet Management Association and the Certified Equipment Manager (CEM) designation earned in 2008 from the Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP). Recertification requirements have been met for both and both certifications are current. Active in ANSI standards development groups for bucket trucks (ANSI/SAIA A92.2), MEWPs (ANSI/SAIA A92.20, .22, & .24), digger derricks (ANSI/ASSP A10.31), and fleet safety (ANSI/ASSP Z15.1). Also serve on the A10 and A92 Main Committees. Extensive knowledge of fleet management best practices related to operator selection, training, and monitoring; vehicle & equipment acquisition, inspection, maintenance, and disposal; maintenance facilities design and operation; and risk management for fleet operations. Former VP of Fleet Operations for 4,500 unit construction fleet with cradle-to-grave responsibility of all fleet activities. Oversaw team of 230+ professionals who helped acquire, assign, transport, maintain, test, inspect, and dispose of the fleet's assets. Past litigation support includes: crashes of cars, vans, & trucks; electrical contact incidents involving bucket trucks, digger derricks & MEWPs; operator selection, training, and monitoring for cars, vans, trucks, & construction equipment; meeting FMCSA and DOT requirements; failure to properly maintain vehicles and equipment; and incidents involving hi-rail equipped vehicles and equipment.
