Since completing my residency training at the University of Massachusetts in 2003, I have been providing direct patient care in Obstetrics and Gynecology. My professional career started in Waco, TX, working directly with the Family Practice residents. I practiced for nearly 20 years in Texas before relocating to Delaware in 2022, where I continue to be involved in direct patient care. A common thread over time has been the patients' expectation for thoroughness, professionalism, and competency. As a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, I work diligently to exceed those expectations, delivering safe and favorable outcomes. I am happy to report that I have never been named in a malpractice suit during my professional career. Integral to my success is staying up to date with the current treatment recommendations, my desire for continued self-improvement and my extensive work history. I have performed over 3,000 deliveries and more than 1,000 surgical procedures. Yet I continue to have experiences that speak to the uniqueness of each and every patient. Despite their differences, good patient outcomes depend on knowing and maintaining the standard of care. As you could expect, less than favorable patient outcomes, especially in Obstetrics and Gynecology, lead to significant liability concerns and are fraught with emotions. I have an intimate understanding of the current standards of practice and I am able to effectively communicate complex medical concepts in an easy to understand way. Having a partner, like myself, will prove invaluable, whether in the discovery phase or at trial. I will defend a case when the standard of care has been met, and I will advocate for those affected when the standard of care has been breached. My services include records review, expert witness reports, depositions, testimony at arbitration and in court. My areas of interest include postpartum hemorrhage, birth injuries, fetal monitoring, labor management, neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, cerebral palsy, shoulder dystocia, obstetrical complications, vacuum and forceps deliveries, VBAC deliveries, pregnancy loss, loss of fertility and gynecological surgical injuries.
