Additional Information

I am a board-certified Vascular Surgeon, and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I have been practicing Vascular Surgery for 23 years. After obtaining my Medical Degree at Dartmouth Medical School I completed 5 years of general surgery residency at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital under the direct mentorship of Dr. Seymour Schwartz, author of the textbook on surgery. I then completed my training by specializing in Vascular Surgery at Harvard University’s teaching affiliate, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. In 2001 I began my career as assistant professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and worked at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami for five years before transitioning to private practice after moving to Florida’s Treasure Coast in 2006. In 2008 I opened my own practice, Vascular, Interventional & Vein Associates and hold active privileges at two area hospitals. I am a member of the Florida Vascular Society, and for three years served on the board of Indian River Medical Center, now Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach Florida. I am also a faculty member of Florida State University and have trained medical students who rotated through my practice. Thanks to the education and training I received at prestigious and competitive institutions, as well as the wide-ranging experience I gained in Miami performing surgeries at one of the nation’s busiest hospitals and trauma centers, I have had the opportunity and privilege of offering high quality vascular care to my patients over the course of my career. While working in Miami, I trained residents and fellows, and operated on trauma patients who often presented with vascular injuries from gunshot, knife wounds, falls, and car accidents. My extensive clinical experience includes all aspects of arterial and venous surgery, repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid arteries, leg bypass surgery, invasive non-surgical treatment of varicose veins, and much more. My mastery of both traditional open surgeries and cutting edge minimally invasive techniques allow me to customize the appropriate level of care for my patients with the goal of reducing the symptoms of vascular disease and prolonging their quality of life.
