Additional Information

Specialty & Experience I am a board-certified private Vascular Surgeon, and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I have been practicing Vascular Surgery for over 23 years. My extensive clinical experience includes all aspects of arterial and venous surgery, repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid arteries, dialysis access, diabetic foot wounds, leg bypass surgery, invasive non-surgical treatment of varicose veins, vascular trauma, and much more. My mastery of both traditional open surgeries and cutting edge minimally invasive techniques allows me to customize the appropriate level of care for my patients with the goal of reducing the symptoms of vascular disease and prolonging their quality of life. Education & Additional Information After obtaining my Medical Degree at Dartmouth Medical School I completed 5 years of general surgery residency at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. I completed my training by specializing in Vascular Surgery at Harvard University’s teaching affiliate, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. In 2001 I began my career as assistant professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and worked at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami where I trained residents and fellows, and operated on trauma patients who often presented with vascular injuries from gunshots, knife wounds, falls, and car accidents. Subsequently I moved to Florida's Treasure Coast and opened my private practice, Vascular, Interventional & Vein Associates which includes two offices and an office based lab facility (OBL). I hold active privileges at two area hospitals. I am a member of the Florida Vascular Society, and for three years served on the board of Indian River Medical Center, now Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach Florida. I am also a faculty member of Florida State University and train medical students who rotate through my practice.
