Curtis Beloy PE is a full-time forensic engineering consultant. He solves forensic problems involving vehicles and mechanical equipment- including cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, powersports equipment, off-highway vehicles, . With an R&D background in the automotive industry, his forensic experience spans accident analysis at multidisciplinary forensic engineering firms and vehicle design evaluations for major motorcycle and ATV manufacturers. He has researched vehicle design and has consulted the US Border Patrol on ATV safety. He is a former expert off-road motorcycle racer with more than 25 years of experience with vehicle repairs and tuning. Mr. Beloy's research includes forensic analysis of video systems and digital evidence. He has studied file compression, modifications, and uses motion capture technology to reconstruct accident events from video sources (surveillance, dashcam, GoPro, etc.). Mr. Beloy graduated with honors from Minnesota State University with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a board-certified Diplomate in Forensic Engineering (DFE). He is a member of several industry societies where he keeps current with industry practices. His formal teaching experience includes roles as an Adjunct Physics Professor, STEM instructor, and graduate teaching assistant. He is Principal Engineer at Forensic Vehicle Engineers (4Moto Engineers) in Madison, Wisconsin and provides consulting services nationwide.
